Misting and irrigation over propagation benches

Author: Kobi Shilo, Chief Agronomist, NaanDanJain

Propagation systems for nurseries and greenhouses are a critical and important agro-technological issue. This article presents Green Mist, a dual-purpose emitter for misting and irrigation over propagation benches, developed, manufactured and marketed by NaanDanJain.

Requirements for effective propagation systems:

NaanDanJain’s R&D department used these criteria as a basis for developing a simple dual-purpose emitter for misting and irrigation over propagation benches, resulting in the Green Mist, an emitter which creates a cloud of fine droplets and ensures uniform wetting.

The bridgeless structure of the emitter prevents dripping, and the ideal droplet size prevents drift of fine mist. The emitter’s sturdy plastic construction ensures years of trouble-free use.

Accumulation of scale around the Green Mist does not effect water distribution.

The Green Mist system is equipped with low pressure anti-leakage units for pulse operation. Each pulse can be as short as 2.0 sec.
